Story <continued>

It was an ovular locket. Upon the gleaming cover, the word 'Maxis' was intricately carved. a few carvings of vines ran round the ledge to the back where a crescent was carved so lively in. Out of curiosity, December gingerly tug on the ledge. Inside, lay a ring. The ring was of gold that shimmered under the light of the already rising sun attempting to peek through the thick canopy of leaves. December was awed by the beauty of the locket and the ring. She scrutinized at the tiny carvings behind the ring. The same word 'Maxis' was carefully carved into it.

'Maxis..that seemed familiar...I remember seeing that name somewhere. Wait. It was in the store I think.' December thought.

She tucked the locket into her pocket and hurried back to the cottage. The locket jingled in her pocket and December seem to feel a weak beat in her pocket. She did not stop to think what was causing it as she was already late for breakfast.

The wind swept cold wind swept gently upon December's face. All of a sudden, the clouds came towering in.Strong gusts of wind tugged at December's robes. She pulled on her hood and fled for shelter. A storm was coming.

'That is odd. It was so sunny a few minutes ago.' she muttered, struggling against the North wind...
